Qarin, an 8-year-old boy from Banjara Basti, is the seventh child in his family and has six siblings. In such large families, children sometimes go unnoticed.
About a week ago, a stone accidentally fell on Qarin’s left toe, causing an injury. Unfortunately, no treatment was provided at that time, and the toe became infected, swollen, and started discharging pus.
When we met Qarin during our routine street clinic, he was in severe pain and had a mild fever. Our team immediately provided wound care, dressing, and the required medication. Save Kids Trust staff also visited him daily after the initial care to change the dressing and monitor the wound.
Qarin’s father works as a daily laborer, leaving home early and returning late at night, which makes it difficult for the family to provide timely medical care.
Today, Qarin is doing much better and his mother expressed heartfelt gratitude for the care he received from SKT.
