Dengue is a serious health problem that can be avoided. Due to the heavy rains, many places have become ideal for mosquitoes to breed, especially in the slums where sanitation is poor. This has led to a rise in dengue cases among the population. It is important to prevent mosquito breeding by removing stagnant water and keeping the surroundings clean. Save Kids Trust conducts campaigns in each of our clinic neighborhoods to educate people about the symptoms and treatment of dengue as well as preventative measures. This type of educational opportunity is also effective as a trust building activity for new neighborhoods where we are creating an initial presence.
