Kishan's Foot Infection

A traditional topical paste is not helping Kishan's foot infection.

Kishan is a 35-year-old ironworker and father of three living in the Gurjar Ki Thadi community of Jaipur. Earning $70–80 a month, he is considered a solid provider, and his home is one of the better ones in this informal settlement.

That stability was threatened when a foot infection left him unable to stand — and unable to work. He came to the Save Kids Trust clinic seeking care, where Dr. Sharwan diagnosed him with a serious skin disease originating in his foot. Left untreated, the infection risked spreading beyond his foot to his leg and potentially threatened his life. Helping Kishan grasp the full severity of his condition was itself a challenge for the clinic's staff.

With prolonged treatment and proper medication, his condition has stabilized, though full recovery is still ongoing. Dr. Sharwan and his team continue to monitor him closely as he makes regular visits to the clinic.
