Leena gets her smile back!
During a recent street clinic that Save Kids Trust (SKT) held in one needy community, they met a very sick family whose finances meant they were unable to get any proper medical treatment. This family lives in a small rental room in an informal housing area in Jaipur. The mother is a homemaker, the father is a rickshaw driver getting over a leg fracture, and their daughter, Leena, had a scalp infection with aggressive itching.
Leena officially had ‘ring worm’ (Tinea Capitis), called this because the infection grows in circular shapes on the head, but it is a fungus. Her case was severe because it was a large area and her hair was falling out. SKT was able the send her to consult a dermatologist, and then provide her with the proper medications and the education needed to the family to stop the fungus in the home (it is highly contagious).
After two months of treatment, Leena is mending well. She says, “Thank you to SKT!”
We say thank you to donors, like you, who helped Leena get her smile back!
