First 2021 Street Medical Clinic

Save Kids Trust serves underprivileged communities in the Jaipur area by offering healthcare not available to them in their daily lives.  Temporary street clinics are the first step to developing a new permanent clinic site. It is not an easy or quick process but it is very important and satisfying to the SKT staff. 

Dr. Sharwan Saini, our Executive Director, first visits an informal area to get a feel for the community needs and to discover the leadership structure. After he meets and develops a relationship with the community leader, a street clinic is usually welcome. Tools needed for a clinic include a supply of basic medications and volunteer doctors, nurses, and helpers.  Pictures tell a thousand words so please look at the slideshow.

​This street clinic ended with a special teaching time for all the children who had been mingling around. After teaching the importance of using soap to kill germs on hands, the children were given their own personal bar of soap. It is a small gesture by SKT but greatly appreciated by all!
