Oops. How did that happen?

​Lopa and Nihal are newlyweds who came from a village outside Jaipur to work in the city, save money, and return to the village with a way to start their life together. Their plan went well until Lopa started feeling poorly.  No matter what she tried, she could not feel better and the couple came to a clinic to see if they could help. 

After an examination it was discovered that Lopa was pregnant and anemic. Two reasons why she was feeling so badly! The couple was also very surprised to learn that she was pregnant – they did not know how that happened. The clinic educated them in how pregnancy starts and the couple was shocked – this had not been explained to them. 

Lopa was put on proper medications for anemia and pregnancy. Dr. Saini was worried about the health of the baby but there were a couple months still to help both mom and baby get healthier. We were all very happy to receive these photos in December 2021 with Lopa and her new baby boy!
