In an event reaching out to older children, Dr. Rinku Saini shared the hardships that the Monsoon (rainy) season can bring so children can look after their own health. Dengue, malaria, cholera, typhoid, and viral fever are all common during this season. Dr. Rinku shared how to help stay safe from these diseases as well as symptoms and what to do if you feel like you are sick. Training young children now will result in educated adults leading their own families. It is one step to improving generational health.
Along with a teaching event, Save Kids Trust (SKT) staff always tries to add some fun. This event was part of celebrating Teachers Day in India and poems & stories were shared as entertainment. Dr. Saini also gives some sort of treat at the end of an event like a small package of biscuits or cookies. Our outside educational opportunities also help the children, and their families, feel comfortable if they ever need to come to the local SKT clinic.
