Jhalna Village

The remote village of Jhalna, in Jaipur, is home to Dalits; members of the lowest caste in India who have been subjected to untouchability.  Dalits live on the margins of society in India, often without access to basic health and education services.

To provide this community with some of the services it is lacking , Dr. Sharwan spent weeks building relationships in the community and finally he got approval from the slum landlord to hold a clinic. Photos are of this first medical outreach program in Jhalna.

With the medical outreach program underway, Save Kids Trust will continue to search for a permanent location in this area for its third clinic.
